Within is a limited edition body oil scented with lavender, clary sage, and ambrette. It is available in 15mL, the same vessel and formula used across the Eartha body oil line, with one thing different: the scent.

Where it came from

Before Eartha was Eartha, we were known as SLOW RITUALS. And Surrendering was our signature scent for our shower salts (our most popular range which was discontinued after the rebrand).

Surrendering was a lavender and clary sage blend, and it became the product people came back for most. Not because it was the most complex thing we made, but because of what it did to people when they used it. They described it as the thing that helped them exhale at the end of the day. It sold consistently, quietly, and then the rebrand happened and we had to leave it behind.

We never stopped thinking about it.

Within is not a recreation of Surrendering. It is something more considered. Lavender and clary sage remain at the centre, the same two notes that made Surrendering what it was. But we have added ambrette, a natural musk extracted from hibiscus seeds, that sits close to skin rather than projecting outward. It grounds the lavender, adds a warmth that the original never had, and gives Within a depth that Surrendering was only beginning to reach.

What it smells like

Lavender here is not sharp or medicinal. It is the softer side of lavender, slightly floral, slightly herbal, the way it smells in the late afternoon rather than first thing in the morning. Clary sage adds warmth underneath it, slightly resinous, a little earthy. And ambrette settles over everything like a second skin, quiet and close.

The overall effect is calming without being sleepy. Grounding without being heavy. The kind of scent that slows your thoughts without you noticing it has happened.

A note on limited editions

Every limited edition at Eartha follows the same principle: one new scent, same formula, same vessel, same care. We do not introduce new ingredients or change the formulation between releases. What changes is only what it smells like, and by extension, what it feels like to use it.
