"Everything happens for a reason —
it has helped me so much in understanding life in a positive way."
Megan is no stranger to the fashion scene, having modelled for and collaborated with numerous fashion brands to create designs that sell out within minutes of launch. We have had the pleasure of knowing Megan for almost two years, ever since the early days of our brand's evolution as SLOW RITUALS to Eartha. Meeting and chatting with her at events has always been a pleasure. For our third PORTRAITS feature, it felt only right to invite Megan to share more about her life, inspirations, and creative journey with us.

01 / Hi Megan, could you start by sharing about your background and what initially drew you into the world of design, fashion and content creation?
Hello! I am half a graphic designer and content creator mainly in fashion, lifestyle and travel.
As a child I have always been attracted towards visuals — “it’s amazing how everyone knows the golden arches/M is McDonalds’ logo”, I picked snacks with “nicer packaging” and love playing dress up. All this led me to finally pick Visual Communication/Graphic Design as my major in college.
For the content creation part, I was lucky enough that my parents granted me a DSLR when I was around 15. I learned to take photos of myself with the help of a tripod and that's the start of my IG era.
02 / How has working in these creative fields influenced your personal and professional growth?
yes, absolutely.
Through this field I found my style and “eye” on things in general, not just fashion. I love when family, friends, and followers come to me for shopping opinions (hehe).
Most importantly, I have made lots of connections and new friends from the creative industry and mentors of the field who have inspired me to be better each day.
03 / Could you tell us a fun fact about yourself that most people might not know?
Somehow I wanted to study law and be a lawyer at some point!
04 / You've travelled extensively — do you have a favourite country or city that holds a special place in your heart, and why?
Paris for the first time recently and i am aching to go back already! The vibrant and beautiful city sparks joy and inspiration wherever I go. All those beautiful buildings and even doors caught my eye. Not to mention the Parisian lifestyle — baguette on one hand and coffee on the other! Also I find myself enjoying sitting down at the iconic Parisian green park bench and just staring blankly towards the sky.. oh life is a dream!
05 / Your trips always bring you to such aesthetically beautiful spots. How do you plan your trips and discover such hidden gems?
I do plan before the trip but I must say curiosity and noticing the surroundings is what often brought me to those hidden gems! When i travel, i often prefer walking to my pin points and just explore what's around there, often and somehow there's always a hidden gem!
06 / On a more personal note, you have been navigating a long-distance relationship for some time now. How do you feel about it, and what has helped you to stay grounded during these periods of separation?
Almost 7 years on a long distance, I must say I am very proud of myself and my partner since it takes two to tango! No one enjoys separation and I still cry when we have to say goodbye in the airport (hehe). But what keeps us going strong despite the distance is of course strong commitment and trust.
Also we have been enjoying planning trips and meeting outside Singapore so that both of us can relax and enjoy a mini staycation over the weekend.
07 / Is there a particular quote or mantra that guides you through life and decisions?
I’ve been living with this quote as a mindset for the longest “Everything happens for a reason” and it has helped me so much in understanding life in a positive way.
08 / What does self care mean to you, and can you walk us through your self care rituals?
I do believe in feeling and looking good and self care has been something I practise since my younger days. Taking good care of my skin, body and mind is an investment and heres a bit of my routine.
1. Clean hands only! on the face, take an extra 5 minute to complete all skincare routine will make a huge difference on your skin.
2. It is no secret that i tie my hair almost everyday, and my hair deserves some love with my go to Eartha Paloma Hair Oil.
3. Keeping my skin hydrated is a must, and we all know that I have been loving Eartha’s Body Oil since their day 01.

09 / We would love to hear your thoughts about Eartha — have any of our products resonated with you or have become a part of your routine?
I am grateful for Eartha for introducing all these goodness to me the moment they launch. Eartha’s pulse oil is always on my purse, body and hair oil on my bedside and room spray scent lingering on my bedroom. They have been a part of me and my routine for nearly 2 years now. Eartha is like a family to me.

10 /. Lastly, your content on socials is always so visually captivating. Could you take us through your content creation process and offer some tips for aspiring content creators?
Thank you!! When it comes to my content, it is not just the product but how i present it to my viewers in an aesthetically pleasing way — i’m a graphic designer and all the font size, color, and placement matters, even on a 24hr ig story!
My tip is to browse a lot and categorize the style you like and represent you the most! And practise the art of noticing <3
